In 2016 I created this website to primarily host my wildlife trip reports.  My travels are generally focused on finding and photographing mammals and I have seen over 780 species to date. I am also keen on reptiles and birding. Uploading of past trip reports is underway (slowly).

Growing up in Zambia as the son of an avid birder gave me an early introduction to wildlife travel. That and my work as an exploration geologist, primarily in Africa and Asia, have taken me to many interesting and remote areas around the world; having visited over 70 countries. I have lived and worked in South Africa, Ghana (5 years), Mali (2 years), Mongolia (5 years) and the Outback in Australia (4 years). I now spend much of my time in Thailand and other parts of Southeast Asia when I am not travelling elsewhere.
